Chris Laurens – biographical details


Chris Laurens began his career in photography specialising in the
watersports industry. He travelled the world photographing major surfing
and sailing competitions and taking commissions to photograph luxury
yachts. He moved on to work for several national newspapers including
the Daily Telegraph and Daily Mirror covering news stories, fashion and
sports events throughout the UK and abroad. Chris was involved as the
newspaper industry made the transition from black and white to colour
images and was at the forefront as digital photography revolutionised
the way press photographers worked.

Chris has extensive experience of studio work, with Sean Connery and
Neil Kinnock amongst his portraiture models and brands such as Weetabix
amongst his promotional product photography clients.

A previous winner of a Fuji features award, Chris also recently won an
accolade from Time Out magazine as his picture of Waterloo Bridge at
night was voted one of 'The 50 greatest pictures of London ever' by the
magazine.

Today, with more than twenty years experience, Chris is at the forefront
of experimenting with new photographic techniques. He is an expert in
creating 360o panoramic images and provides consultancy on the use of
digital technology and virtual reality experiences for web-sites. He
also provides wide-format printing and picture restoration services.
Additionally, Chris's limited edition canvas prints and greetings cards
are sold through selected galleries around the world.
