Hydraulic Hammer after piling monopile into the seabed

Pile driving is a fast process, and piles are relatively inexpensive to produce. Geotechnical surveys at Kentish Flats shows that the seabed consists of layers of sand and not too dense clay, which makes mono-pile foundations particularly attractive.

The foundation ramming takes approx two hours for each monopile. Under certain weather conditions the noise from the ramming might be audible from land.
